One of the many deeply eroded footpaths around the Dark Peak District area.

A light shower clears and behind it the sky is clear and bright. The intensity of the colours in the landscape are really highlighted in such weather conditions.

Smudgy full moon light over Ladybower Reservoir. Painted from memory in mixed media on 90cm x 60cm canvas, really had to search for colours, all appeared very monotone.

The footpath runs with rivulets of water, as the rain passes overhead and in the distance the soft peach colours of sundown appear. 150 cm x 100 cm oil and mixed media on canvas

Showers over Kinder Scout, 150 cm x 100 cm, canvas, oil, mixed media. No houses, no trees, just miles of tussock grass and peat.

Acrylic on Canvas. Golden light as the sun rises on Burbage Moor, the intensity of the reflecting sun on the ice is almost visually painful! .

Acrylic sketch looking up to Stanage Edge.Eroded footpaths contrast with frost and pale blue sky, suggestion of cloud coming over the summit. Not sure if I will save the painting, probably this will be the only image of the piece.

100cm x 100cm mixed media on canvas. Monotone, charcoal greys and browns, hints of yellow ochre. Interpreting the effects of low pressure fronts and the weather they bring to the Peak District Moors. The erosion, sodden ground, limited colours and low light levels, looking for any beauty.

Studio impression of driving rain across Burbage Moor, towards Kinder Scout. Great to use fluid oil paint and experiment with brushes and various tools on 90cm x 60cm canvas. Browns and silver greys dominate the landscape, very mutated colours.

Concentrating on the darkness of the gritstone rocks, after the rain has stopped. The peach colour of the sky and the freezing air combines the beauty and the harsh elements of this landscape.

The work is painted with mixed media materials on a 120cm x 80cm canvas.
